Simona Halep returned from the treatment of injury and qualified for the semi-finals of the tennis tournament in Stuttgart. The Romanian tennis player won by 2-0 (6:1, 6:4) her quarterfinals match versus Ekaterina Alexandrova for a little more than an hour.
The number 3 seeded Simona Halep received an injury in the shoulder and not played in Miami last month and was also only her third match from the Australian Open championship.
Simona Halep will play the semi-finals against Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus), who eliminated Anett Kontaveit (Estonia) with 2-1 (7:5, 4:6, 6:1).
