Nadine Visser is a Dutch track and field athlete. She originally specialized in the heptathlon, but eventually switched to high hurdles (60m hurdles indoor, and 100m hurdles outdoor). Nadine Visser is the 2017 European Athletics U23 Champion on the 100m hurdles, and the 2019 European Athletics Indoor Champion on the 60m hurdles.
Nadine Visser was born on February 9, 1995, in Hoorn, Netherlands. Her first sports were gymnastics and football, but she took up athletics at age 13. She represented the Netherlands at the 2011 European Youth Olympic Festival in Trabzon, winning gold in both the 100m hurdles and the 4x100m relay.
During the 2014 indoor season, Nadine Visser set Dutch indoor junior records in both the 60 m hurdles and the pentathlon. She took part in the 2014 World Junior Championships in Eugene, winning the bronze in 100m hurdles and the heptathlon. A year later, she competed at the 2015 European U23 Championships in Tallinn, winning the bronze at 100m hurdles. She also competed at the Decastar Athletics Tournament in Talence, France, winning the bronze in the heptathlon.
In 2016, Nadine Visser was part of the Dutch Olympic team in Rio 2016. She finished 19th in Heptathlon with 6190 pts.
In 2017, she won the gold at the European U23 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland in 100m hurdles. She also won the gold at the Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan in 100m hurdles. In the heptathlon, her biggest achievement for the year was the silver at Mehrkampf-Meeting in Ratingen, Germany.
Nadine Visser made a great achievement finishing 3rd and winning the bronze at the 2018 World Indoor Championships in Birmingham in 60m hurdles. She also was 4th at the 2018 European Championships in Berlin, Germany in 100m hurdles. During the year she started competing in the Diamond League in 100m hurdles.
Nadine Visser won her first gold at the European Indoor Championships in 2019, when she finished first in Glasgow, Scotland at 60m hurdles.
In 2021, she defended her European Indoor Championships title at 60m hurdles. She also won the gold at IFAM Meeting in Gent in 60m hurdles and at Brussels Grand Prix in 100m hurdles. During the year she has two silver medals and one bronze on the Diamond League tour.
Nadine Visser is one of the most talented Dutch athletes. Definitely, her career is developing perfectly and we will expect much more gold medals from her.
