Turkish volleyball team Vakifbank qualified earlier for the quarterfinals of the Women’s Champions League after winning their visitor’s match versus Vero Volley Monza with 3-1 (21:25, 25:17, 25:17, 25:12). Thus, the Turkish team is on the top of Group B with 15 points (5 wins), while Vero Volley Monza is second with 9 points (3 wins and 2 losses).
The Turkish team had problems only in the first game, but after that made a great match and deservedly won. The powerful attacks of Isabelle Haak and the blocks of Chiaka Ogbogu made the difference between both teams.
The opposite of Vakifbank Isabelle Haak was awarded the MVP of the match, scoring 32 points, while for the team of Vero Volley Monza the most effective was Magdalena Stysiak.
Vero Volley Monza still has chances to qualify for the quarterfinals, but currently is out of the Top 3 2nd teams.
