The Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist in the 400m hurdles, Femke Bol, will open the winter season on February 12th. She will start at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meeting in Metz, France.
Femke Bol won the 400m hurdles in the French city last year with a tournament record of 50.81 sec. She remained undefeated in the winter of 2021, and also won two gold medals at the European Championships in Torun – 400m and the Dutch 4×400 meters relay.
She ran less than 51 seconds in five of her races, making her strongest appearance in the 400m final at the Torun Continental Forum, where she stopped the 50.63-second time trial for the European title.
After her first start in 2022, Femke Bol plans to take part in the Copernicus Cup in Torun on February 22nd. The Dutch National Indoor Championships take place on February 26th, and Femke Bol’s last participation in the winter will be at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade from March 18th to 20th.
