European record holder, world and European 400m hurdles champion Femke Bol (Netherlands) continued her winning streak in her crowning event at the London Diamond League. The Dutch athlete won the gold in a new tournament record of 51.30 sec. Thus, the world record holder in the 400m indoors corrected her own record of the tournament, which she set at the Olympic Stadium in London last year – 51.45 sec.
Femke Bol‘s result from London Diamond League is also the second-best of her career.
The second position in the women’s 400m hurdles was taken by the American athlete Shamier Little with 52.78 sec, and Rushell Clayton (Jamaica) completed the top three with 53.24 sec.
Another Jamaican athlete Andrenette Knight was on fourth place with 53.69 sec, while Jessie Knight (Great Britain) was 5th with 54.15 sec.
