Nadine Riesen is a Swiss footballer who plays as a defender for Eintracht Frankfurt and for the Switzerland national team.
Born on April 11, 2000, in St. Gallen, Switzerland, Nadine Riesen spent her childhood in Niederteufen. She began her football career with FC Buhler at the tender age of 9, achieving success by winning two junior cups in 2014 and 2015.
In 2015, Nadine Riesen transitioned to FC St. Gallen, quickly securing a spot in the first team. Her debut in the top tier Swiss league occurred on August 15, 2015, against Yverdon-Sport. She played the entire match, starting in the lineup and being substituted in the 69th minute. Despite her efforts, the team was relegated to the Nationalliga B at the conclusion of the season.
The following year, FC St. Gallen merged with FC Staad to form FC St. Gallen-Staad. In 2018, Nadine Riesen represented Switzerland in the U-19 European Championship, playing in all three games. However, the Swiss team was eliminated in the preliminary round.
In 2019, Nadine Riesen relocated to Bern for two seasons to play for BSC Young Boys, returning to the Super League. She made her senior debut for Switzerland at 19 in an international match against Serbia on June 14, 2019. At the age of 21, she was recognized as Team of the Season (referred to as the Golden Eleven) for her contributions. During her time with the club, she played 39 matches and scored 8 goals.
In 2021, Nadine Riesen joined FC Zurich, where she won the double in her debut season and participated in Champions League qualifiers for the first time. She played 46 matches and scored 7 goals.
