Australia smashed Indonesia with 18-0 in the first round of the groups of the Women’s football Asian Cup. The super-star of the team and Chelsea Women forward, Samantha Kerr, scored 5 goals, while Emily van Egmond, who played in Newcastle, added another 4 goals. Two goals for the winners scored Ellie Carpenter, Hayley Raso, and Kyah Simon, while one goal added Caitlin Foord, Mary Fowler, and Aivi Luik.
With the success, Australia kick-off the Women’s football Asian Cup as a leader in Group B, where are also Thailand and the Philippines.
