Candace Hill recorded an excellent result in the 150m at the Atlanta City Meeting. The American athlete won the event with 16.293 sec against 16.299 sec for her training partner Favour Ofili (Nigeria). The race is unusual in that the 150m is run in straights.
The 150m world record is held by Bahamian sprinter Shaunae Miller-Uibo with 16.23 sec from 2018. A faster 150m time, but under different conditions, is Jamaican Shericka Jackson. She holds the fastest 150m time (16.09 sec), which she set during her 200m in Brussels last year.
Candace Hill is an American track and field athlete who competes in the 100m and 200m. She became the world’s first high school woman to break the 11-second barrier clocking 10.98 sec in the 100m sprint at the 2015 Brooks PR Invitational. Her mark, quickly ratified, is the world youth best, the terminology for world record among athletes before the year of their 18th birthday. Candace Hill is also the first US high school female to run under 11.10 sec for 100m.
