Demi van den Wildenberg is a Dutch track and field athlete, who competes in sprints. She is European U20 Championships silver medalist.
Demi van den Wildenberg was born on February 29, 2000. She started in athletics as a kid and improved her skills in sprints, achieving great results.
Demi van den Wildenberg started her competitive career in 2016, finishing 8th at the Apeldoorn Dutch U18 Indoor Championships in 60m and fourth at the Breda Dutch U18 Championships in 100m. She also competed at the Sittard Dutch Club Championships in the 4x100m relay, finishing 4th as well. At the end of the year, Demi van den Wildenberg won her first gold, triumphing at the Dusseldorf U18 Advent-Indoor-Meeting in 60m.
In 2017, the Dutch athlete debuted at the national championship. Demi van den Wildenberg finished 6th at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships in 60m, but during the indoor season, she won the bronze at the Apeldoorn Dutch U20/U18 Indoor Championships. During the outdoor season Grosseto European U20 Championships in 100m and 4x100m relay, but missed the honors. Meanwhile, she earned the bronze at the Vught Dutch U20/U18 Championships and Amsterdam Dutch Club Championships in 100m.
Demi van den Wildenberg won the 60m gold at the Apeldoorn Dutch U20 Indoor Championships in 2018 but failed to qualify for the finals at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships. During the outdoor season, she won the gold at the Emmeloord Dutch U20 Championships and the silver at the Eindhoven Kamerbeek Gala in 100m.
In 2019, Demi van den Wildenberg started the season with the 60m silver at the Apeldoorn Dutch U20 Indoor Championships. During the outdoor season, she won the gold at the Alphen aan den Rijn Dutch U20 Championships and the Eindhoven Eef Kamerbeek Gala. Her biggest achievement, however, was winning the 4x100m relay silver at the Boras European U20 Championships.
In 2020, she won the silver at the Apeldoorn 12e AV PEC 1910 Indoor and finished 5th at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships in 60m. During the outdoor season, she won the 150m silver at the Test wedstrijd Papendal.
Demi van den Wildenberg did not reach significant success in the 2021 season, finishing 7th at the Breda Dutch Championships, and did not record some achievement in the other tournaments she competed.
Demi van den Wildenberg got back into form in 2022, winning her first national medal. She won the 60m silver at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships. She also competed at the prestigious INIT INDOOR MEETING Karlsruhe and Meeting de Paris Indoor, but missed the honors. During the outdoor season, she competed at the Birmingham Diamond League in the 4x100m relay but failed to finish.
In 2023, Demi van den Wildenberg won the 60m bronze at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships and the 60m gold at the prestigious Navarra Indoor Athletics in Pamplona, Spain. During the outdoor season, she won the 100m silver at the Meeting Internationald’Athletisme de la Province de Liege.
Demi van den Wildenberg started the 2024 season strongly, finishing 5th at the Sparkassen Indoor Meeting Dortmund and IFAM Gent Indoor in 60m, but at the Apeldoorn Dutch Indoor Championships missed the honors after finishing 4th.
