Korean golf babe Yoo Hyun-Ju

Yoo Hyun-Ju is a South Korean professional golfer, who plays on the LPGA of Korea Tour and Korean Dream Tour.

Yoo Hyun-Ju was born on February 28, 1994. She started her golf at the age of 10 in 2004 and from 2008 when she was 14 she decided to pursue her career as a golf player. She graduated from Myongji University and in 2011 she joined the KLPGA

Yoo Hyun-Ju turned pro in 2011. During her first season, she placed 4th in the first round of the 2012 regular tour seeding round, 6th in the second round, and 3rd in the final round held in November.

In 2012, Yoo Hyun-Ju recorded a career-high by placing 14th at the BS Financial Group Busan Bank/Seoul Economic Daily Women’s Open. In most of her competitions, she ranked in the lower to mid-tier, and she finished 110th in the 2013 regular tour pre-seeding qualifier, which left her barely eligible for the regular tour in 2013.

Yoo Hyun-Ju participated in the Dream Tour in 2013, the second division tournament, and participated in the Korea Women’s Open Golf Championship in June, but missed the cut. After dropping out from the elite division, she took a break for some years and returned only in 2015 to the regular tour seed ranking match in November and secured the seed by placing 33rd in the preliminary round and 24th in the final. This marks the return to the first part of the tour after 4 years.

In 2016, Yoo Hyun-Ju did not perform so strong, but at the BMW Ladies Championship held on July 14, she barely advanced to the third round by recording 2-over-par in the first round and even par in the second round but recorded 9-over-par in the third round. However, in the last 4 rounds, she showed a turnaround by recording 3-under-par and ranked 45th. She also finished 32nd at the Chojeong Carbonated Water Yongpyeong Open and 38th at the MY Moonyoung Queen’s Park Championship, before making another breakthrough at the Mirae Asset Daewoo Classic and Hite Jinro Championship, finishing 45th and 59th, respectively.

In 2017, Yoo Hyun-Ju finished 64th at the Kyochon Honey Ladies Open and 41st at the NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship, before making a great performance at the BMW Ladies Championship and finished 48th. Meanwhile, she also finished 35th at the Kaido Women’s Open and 25th at the MY Moonyoung Queen’s Park Championship. However, she was ranked 83rd in the main draw before the 2018 Regular Tour seed rankings held in November and is expected to be seen frequently on the Dream Tour rather than the regular tour in 2018.

While active in the Dream Tour in 2018, Yoo Hyun-Ju participated in the KLPGA Championship, but immediately missed the cut with a total of 7-over-par, with 2-over-par in the first round and 5-over-par in the second round. Afterward, at the KG-Edaily Ladies Open in September, she recorded even par in all rounds and ranked 52nd. She performed poorly on the Dream Tour, failing to participate before the 2019 regular tour seeding rankings, and is scheduled to continue playing on the Dream Tour in 2019.

In 2019, Yoo Hyun-Ju finished 52nd at the KG·Edaily Ladies Open, while in the next season, she was 61st at the NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship.

During the next seasons, although Yoo Hyun-Ju was consistently participating in the Dream Tour, she was still showing poor performance, not even in the top 10, let alone winning.
