The Czech tennis teenage talent Sara Bejlek won her first and most prestigious title triumphing at the clay tournament WTA 125 Challenger Colina Open in Chile. The Czech player defeated Diane Parry (France) by 2-0 (6:2, 6:1) in 72 minutes.
Sara Bejlek’s forehand and good serve were the key in the clash, which brought her success.
The first set started equally with both players winning their serve game, but Sara Bejlek first achieved a break to lead by 3:1. Although Diane Parry returned the break immediately for 3:2, the 17-years-old Czech talent took the initiative and broke again for 4:2. By the end of the set she made another break to win by 6:2.
In the second set, Sara Bejlek took a lead of 3:1 after a break in the fourth game, which gave her confidence and she broke once again to close the set at 6:1.
Thus, Sara Bejlek won her first WTA 125 title. On the road to it, she defeated the 6th-seeded Anna Bondar (Hungary) in the first round, the 3rd-seeded Nadia Podoroska (Argentina) in the semi-finals, and the 5th-seeded Diane Parry (France) in the final.
