Serbia managed to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics

Serbian volleyball olympics

Women’s volleyball world champion Serbia managed to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics before the end of the tournament in Ningbo (China). The Serbian women’s volleyball team defeated the Netherlands decisively by 3-0 (25:19, 25:16, 25:20) in their match of the tournament in Group A of the qualifying tournament.

In this way, Serbia continues to be at the sole leader of the standings of the group with 5 wins, 1 loss and 15 points, the same as the 2nd Dominican Republic, but with a worse game ratio. However, the calculations show that regardless of the result in their last game, the Serbian women’s volleyball team will certainly finish in one of the first two places and qualify for Paris 2024 Olympics.

The world champions will finish the tournament with a meeting with the hosts from China.

The Netherlands is in 3rd place in the standings with 4 wins, 2 losses and 12 points, and still has a real chance to finish second and win a visa for the Olympics. For this purpose, today they must defeat the Dominican Republic with a 3-0 or 3-1 in the direct clash between them.

Most useful for Serbia was the star Tijana Boskovic with 20 points (1 block, 1 ace) for the victory. Sara Lozo (2 aces) and Maja Aleksic (5 blocks!) added another 15 and 14 points for the win.

For the Netherlands team, the only one with a double-digit asset was Nova Marring with 11 points.
