Muni Lily He was born on June 17, 1999, in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. She was introduced to golf by her father at the age of 5 and showed great talent, competing at the local junior tournaments. After her family moved to Vancouver and later to San Diego she started playing golf more regularly and joined San Diego and Southern California junior golf tournaments, together with the US Kids’ Golf and American Junior Golf Association events.
Muni Lily He started her competitive career as an amateur in 2012, winning the Randy Wise Junior Open already the same year. She also won the title at the 2013 PING Phoenix Junior at ASU Karsten, before making her biggest achievements as an amateur by winning the 2015 Polo Junior Classic and the 2017 Minnesota Invitational. She played at four LPGA tournaments and made the cut at the 2015 US Women’s Open where she tied for 53rd place.
Muni Lily He turned professional in December 2017 and claimed her first Symetra Tour win in July 2018 at the inaugural Prasco Charity Championship in Maineville, Ohio. As a rookie on the Epson Tour, she made 16 of 21 cuts. Muni Lily He competed at the Honda LPGA Thailand finishing 69th. She finished T27 at the inaugural LPGA Q-Series to earn Priority List Category 14 status for the 2019 season.
In 2019, Muni Lily He competed at 19 events with 9 cuts made. She was T38 at the Buick LPGA Shanghai and Cambia Portland Classic, T35 at the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open, T39 at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, and T42 at the Honda LPGA Thailand. In November, she won the eight-round LPGA Q-Series to secure her 2020 LPGA Tour membership.
In 2020, Muni Lily He made only one cut from the 9 events she started, finishing T63 at the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open.
Muni Lily He has quite a more successful season in 2021 with 10 cuts made out of 20 events. Her biggest achievements were T11 at the ISPS Handa World Invitational, T20 at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, and T33 at the Cognizant Founders Cup. She also achieved T38 at the Amundi Evian Championship and T16 at the Pure Silk Championship.
In 2022, Muni Lily He competed at 20 events with 7 cuts made. She recorded a season-best of T5 at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. During the season she also was T60 at the prestigious KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and T22 at the Pelican Women’s Championship.
Muni Lily He continued competing in 2023, making a real breakthrough at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, finishing 7th. Meanwhile, during the season, she was T27 at the Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play and Honda LPGA Thailand, as well as T34 at the Portland Classic.
