Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic) defeated Sorana Cirstea (Romania) by 2-0 (6:0, 6:3) in the quarterfinals of the US Open and will face Cori Coco Gauff in a match for a place in the final. The two played for the title in Cincinnati in late August, when the American tennis player triumphed.
Sorana Cirstea made an impressive raid at the US Open 2023, but was completely powerless against Karolina Muchova. The Czech player now has semifinals in three of the Grand Slam tournaments.
