Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic) defeated Sorana Cirstea (Romania) by 2-0 (6:0, 6:3) in the quarterfinals of the US Open and will face Cori Coco Gauff in a match for a place in the final. The two played for the title in Cincinnati in late August, when the American tennis player triumphed.
