Julia Terziyska won the title at the Bulgarian National Tennis Championships at the clay courts in Sofia, which has a total prize pool of 10,000 BGN.
For the 2nd-seeded Julia Terziyska this is fifth state title, after triumphing in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2021.
In the final, she dethroned last year’s champion and 3rd-seeded Zinovia Vaneva after a turnoving over the match to 2-1 (5:7, 6:0, 6:1)
Earlier this week, Julia Terziyska also celebrated with the women’s doubles title, where she participated in tandem with Ani Vangelova.
Julia Terziyska is a Bulgarian tennis player. She has a career-high singles ranking of world No 306, achieved on February 15, 2016. She reached her highest WTA doubles ranking of No 238 on August 5, 2019. Julia Terziyska has won 12 singles and 15 doubles titles on the ITF Women’s Circuit. Playing in Billie Jean King Cup competitions, she has a win–loss record of 6–4. She made her debut for Bulgaria in 2018.
