Yulimar Rojas triple jump

A few days after another title in her career, the world champion and world record holder in the triple jump Yulimar Rojas deserved the first place at the Zurich Diamond League. The Venezuelan athlete, who had a hard time getting to the gold at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, was more convincing today and achieved success with 15.15m. She passed this distance twice – in her fourth and sixth attempts, and in another outing in the sector she landed at 15.00m.

The second place at the Zurich Diamond League was taken by Shanieka Ricketts (Jamaica) with 14.78m (0.6 m/s), and the bronze was earned by the Cuban athlete Liadagmis Povea with 14.73m (0.2 m/s).

The Top 5 were completed by Leyanis Perez Hernandez (Cuda) and Thea Lafond (Dominican Republic) with 14.62m and 14.42m, respectively.

Yulimar Rojas is a Venezuelan athlete who holds the world record for women’s triple jump, at 15.74m. She is the current Olympic champion, a four-time World Champion (2017 London, 2019 Doha, 2022 Eugene and 2023 Budapest), and three-time World Indoor Champion (2016 Portland, 2018 Birmingham and 2022 Belgrade). Since 2014 she has held, and continued to beat, Venezuelan national records in triple jump and long jump.
