Bulgaria achieved a second victory at the European Women’s Volleyball Championship, which takes place in Italy, Germany, Belgium and Estonia.
In a match from Group B, the Bulgarian women prevailed against Bosnia and Herzegovina with 3-1 (25:20, 25:19, 19:25, 25:18) in front of 803 spectators in Monza (Italy).
Radostina Marinova was the top scorer for Bulgaria with 19 points (1 block, 46% efficiency in attack). Miroslava Paskova added 14 more points (48% attack efficiency, 6% perfect and 25% positive reception) and Mira Todorova recorded 12 points (1 block, 61% attack efficiency).
Dajana Boskovic was the top scorer for Bosnia and Herzegovina with 18 points, while Edina Begic added 16 more points.
In the other match from Group B, Romania defeated Croatia by 3-1 (25:22, 25:21, 23:25, 25:19).
Bulgaria is leader in the group with 6 points followed by Italy with 3 points (but from only 1 match) and Romania with 3 points. Bosnia & Herzegovina is 4th with 2 points, followed by Switzerland and Croatia.
In group D, Slovakia defeated Finland by 3-0 (25:20, 25:23, 25:16), while Netherlands smashed Spain by 3-0 (25:23, 25:19, 25:21). France, Netherlands and Slovakia are heading the group.
During the day, Belgium defeated Hungary by 3-0 (25:16, 25:15, 25:19) in Group A, while Germany won versus Greece by 3-0 (25:19, 25:21, 29:27) in Group C.
