The Polish tennis player gave only one game to her opponent in the first set and it came from a break of her serve in the 4th game. Thus, Iga Swiatek closed the match with total of 7 breaks in the match and did not gave any chance to Danielle Collins.
In the Round of 16 at the WTA 1000 Western & Southern Open, Iga Swiatek will face Qinwen Zheng (China), who eliminated Venus Williams (USA) by 2-1 (1:6, 6:2, 6:1).
Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic) also qualified for the third round of the Masters’ tennis tournament after defeated Petra Martic (Croatia) by 2-1 (6:3, 3:6, 6:3) and will face the 8th-seeded Maria Sakkari (Greece), who eliminated Sorana Cirstea (Romania) by 2- (2:6, 6:3, 7:5).
Linda Noskova (Czech Republic) also qualified for the third round of the tournament after eliminated the 9th-seeded Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic) by 2-1 (3:6, 6:2, 6:4), while Jessica Pegula (USA) eliminated Martina Trevisan (Italy) by 2-1 (6:7, 6:2, 6:3) and Marketa Vondrousova (Czech republic) won her match versus Anastasia Potapova (Russia) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:2).
