The British talent and the US Open 2021 tennis champion, Emma Raducanu, will train under the guidance of the German coach Torben Beltz.
Emma Raducanu, 18, has been without a personal mentor since September when she surprisingly decided not to continue working with Andrew Richardson after the triumph at Flushing Meadows in New York.
The 44-year-old Torben Beltz helped her German compatriot Angelique Kerber establish herself in the women’s elite, leading her to three Grand Slam titles and first place in the world rankings. Angelique Kerber and Torben Beltz announced that they would end their co-operation by mutual agreement on Monday after the two worked together for the third time. Under his leadership, the German won the Australian and US Open in 2016 and Wimbledon in 2018.
He also worked with Croatian tennis player Donna Vekic.
Raducanu ended her season this week in Linz, but at the end of the month, she will play a demonstration match at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
