Yuliya Gerasymova is a Ukrainian volleyball player, who plays for the Romanian volleyball club Rapid Bucuresti and the Ukrainian national team. As part of the Ukrainian national team, she became the winner of the Euroleague 2017. Participant of three European Championships (2017, 2019, 2021).
Yuliya Gerasymova was born on September 15, 1989, in Odessa, Ukraine. She started playing volleyball at school.
Yuliya Gerasymova started her career in season 2006/2007 for the local volleyball club Khimik Yuzhny. With the club, she won five-time Ukrainian Women’s Volleyball Super League (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015) and played in the semifinals of the Continental CEV Challenge Cup in the 2014/15 season.
In 2015, Yuliya Gerasymova signed with Orbita-ZTMC-ZNU Zaporozhya. She played only one season for the club, finishing second in the Ukrainian Cup and the Ukrainian Superliga.
In 2016, Yuliya Gerasymova moved to Tokrey and signed with TED Ankara Kolejliler for two seasons. In both seasons, the club finished in 13th position in the Turkiye Kadinlar Voleybol 1. Ligi.
In 2018, she signed with another Turkish team – Karayollari Spor Kulubu. Yuliya Gerasymova played three seasons for the club, as in her maiden season the team finished 9th in the Turkiye Kadinlar Voleybol Ligi and 9th in the Turkish Cup. The second season was hampered by the coronavirus pandemic, while in 2020/2021, the team was only 13th in the league.
In 2021, Yuliya Gerasymova returned to Ukraine and played for one season for SC Prometey, the current local champion. During the season 2021/2022, the team made a treble, winning Ukrainian Cup, Ukrainian Supercup, and Ukrainian Superliga. SC Prometey also played in the Champions League ad finished in 16th position.
In 2022/2023, she signed with Polish team Roleski Grupa Azoty Tarnow. The team won the Polish 1. Liga Kobiet and finished 9th in the Polish Cup.
In mid-season, she moved to Romania and signed with Rapid Bucuresti, where is currently playing.
At the international level, Yuliya Gerasymova won the Euroleague 2017. Participating in three European Volleyball Championships.
