The finalists of 400m hurdles at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics are clear

Americans Sydney McLaughlin and Dalilah Muhammad qualified for the 400m hurdles final at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Athletics Tournament. World record holder Sydney McLaughlin won her series with 53.03 seconds and the world and Olympic champion Dalilah Muhammad was fastest in the first series with 53.30, despite the torrential rain that poured over the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo.

European 400m hurdles champion Femke Bol of the Netherlands won her series with 53.91 seconds.

Sara Slott Petersen fell on the track after failing to jump the eighth hurdle, although she will probably appeal after it was revealed that she was pushed by the American Anna Cockrell, who qualified for the final on Wednesday.

On the final of 400m hurdles qualified also the Ukrainians Anna Ryzhykova and Viktoriya Tkachuk, Jamaican Janieve Russell, and Panamian Gianna Woodruff.
