Thailand women’s volleyball players stunned Turkey at the World Cup

Thailand’s women’s national volleyball team started with a surprise victory at the Women’s Volleyball World Championship, which is being held in the Netherlands and Poland.

Thailand beat Turkey by 3-2 (17:25, 31:29, 22:25, 25:19, 15:13) in a Group B match of the competition played in Arnhem.

The Asian volleyball players recorded their first 2 points in their asset. The match offered plenty of intrigue and twists, but Thailand prevailed.

Above all was Chatchu-on Moksri with 33 points (3 aces, 2 blocks), Pimpichaya Kokram added 12 points.

For Turkey, Ebrar Karakurt finished with 24 points (3 aces, 3 blocks), Hande Baladin added 17 points (2 aces, 3 blocks). Zehra Gunes finished with 15 points (2 aces, 3 blocks).

The next match for the Thai women is on September 27 (Tuesday), against Poland.

Turkey faces the Korea Republic also on Tuesday at 15:00.
