Corinne Suter is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer and specializes in the speed events of downhill and super-G. She won two medals at the World Championships in 2019 and won World Cup season titles in downhill and super-G in 2020. Corinne Suter won gold in the women’s Downhill at the Beijing 2022 Olympics.
Corinne Suter was born on September 28, 1994, in Schwyz, Switzerland. She started practicing skiing from an early age. She made her World Cup debut at age 17 in November 2011. Corinne Suter has two gold medals at Junior World Championships in 2014 Jasna in downhill and super-G, as well as silver in 2013 Quebec in Super-G and bronze in 2012 Roccaraso in combined.
Corinne Suter turned professional in 2014, but her first descents for the World Cup were a year later. However, she did not perform satisfactorily enough and was in the bottom of the standings, but improved significantly during the next years. In 2019, she reached her first podium in the world cup finishing third at the Gradvalira Soldeu-El Tarter, finishing third in the downhill. Earlier, she was second at the downhill and third in super-G in the 2019 World Championships in Are. However, the season 2020 was the best for her. In 2021, she won the gold in downhill and silver in super-G at 2021 2021 Cortina d’Ampezzo in Cortina d’Ampezzo. For the season Corinne Suter finished 3rd in super-G and 2nd in downhill.
In 2022, Corinne Suter won the most prestigious medal in her career – the gold in downhill in Beijing 2022 Olympics.
