Sha’Carri Richardson won the 200m at the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi

American sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson continues to demonstrate excellent form during the season. She won the 200m at the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi by a convincing margin and a very strong result, seriously slowing down in the final meters – 22.07 sec (1.7m/s).

Her compatriots Kyra Jefferson and Shannon Ray finished second and third with 22.77 sec and 22.82 sec.

Sha’Carri Richardson rose to fame in 2019 as a freshman at Louisiana State University, running 10.75 sec to break the 100m collegiate record at the NCAA Division I Championships. This winning time made her one of the ten fastest women in history at 19 years old.

In the women’s 100m sprint, there was another triumph for the USA – Twanisha Terry won with 10.86 sec (2.5 m/sec). New Zealand’s Zoe Hobbs took second in 10.97 sec, while Belgium’s Rani Rosius finished third in 11.08 sec.

Twanisha “TeeTee” Terry She earned two major medals as part of US women’s 4x100m relays, including gold at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. At age 19, in April 2018, Terry ran the 100m in a time of 10.99 sec at the Mt. SAC Relays, becoming the joint fourth-fastest under-20 woman in history. The same year, she won the silver medal over the distance at the World U20 Championships. She won one individual NCAA Division I title.
