Karolina Pliskova defeated Viktorija Golubic by 2-0 (6:2; 6:2) for 82 minutes. The Czech tennis player made break in the 6th game of the first set and kept her advantage by the end without losing a game. The second set she won the first three games, getting a comfortable advantage and winning the match quite easily.
Aryna Sabalenka won her match versus Ons Jabeur by 2-0 (6:4; 6:3) for 74 minutes. A break in the last game of the first set gave an advantage for the Belarusian player. The second set was quite easier.
Angelique Kerber defeated Karolina Muchova by 2-0 (6:2; 6:3), while Ashleigh Barty eliminated Ajla Tomljanovic in the all-Australian match by 2-0 (6:1; 6:3).
