JJ Aldrich reached her first win in almost 2 years after a split decision versus Cortney Casey

JJ Aldrich won the UFC women Flyweight fight versus Cortney Casey by a split decision. The fight was part of the preliminary card of the UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad.

Both fighters started the match quite aggressively. It is worth noting that Cortney Casey recorded twice more total strikes than her opponent, but JJ Aldrich was better on the ground. She made 4 takeovers, against zero from her opponent. However, in the end, the judges were split but gave the win to JJ Aldrich, which was her 5th win in UFC and 9th overall.

“I feel amazing as I have no win in almost 2 years, so I feel really good”, said JJ Aldrich in the post-fight interview. “I know I was a little bit nervous during the fight, I felt my heart beating”, added she.

JJ Aldrich has a personal MMA record of 9-4-0 (W-L-D), while Cortney Casey has a record of 9-9-0 (W-L-D).
