Iga Swiatek is not disappointed about the loss at WTA 1000 Cincinnati Open

Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek, who has been at the top of the women’s world rankings for 116 weeks, said she was satisfied with her performance at the WTA 1000 Cincinnati Open tournament despite crashing out in the semi-finals.

Iga Swiatek lost to the third seed Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) by 0-2 (3:6, 3:6).

“It was a lot better than I expected, often said, especially on this surface”, said Iga Swiatek. “Anyway, I’m happy with the result. I’m already concentrating on what I need to do to feel even better in New York”, added she.

The US Open begins in New York on August 26.

Iga Swiatek won the Grand Slam title there in 2022.
