The former No 1 in the world Garbine Muguruza (Spain) won the WTA 1000 Dubai Tennis Championships with a prize pool of 1.84 million USD.
The No 9 seeded Garbine Muguruza won the final versus Barbora Krejcikova (Czech Republic) with 2-0 (7:6 (6): 6:3) after a little more than two hours of play and earned the eighth trophy in her career.
The Spanish player catches an early break passive, but then wasted an advance of 4:2 and reached a tiebreak. Barbora Krejcikova missed a set ball at 6:5 points, and Garbine Muguruza came to a twist with three consecutive points.
In the second set, the Spanish player took the initiative with a break at the beginning and till the end did not leave a twist.
So she reached the first trophy in her third finale after Melbourne in early February and Doha last weekend.
Barbora Krejcikova failed to reach the title of Single at her second final after Nuremberg in 2017.
