Feng Bin won the gold in the women’s discus throw final

Feng Bin won the gold in the women’s discus throw final at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon. She brought the second gold medal for China in the competition. Feng Bin won the gold with her personal best of 69.12m in her first attempt

Two Olympic champions contested the second place – the two-time winner under the five intertwined rounds (London 2012 and Rio 2016) Sandra Perkovic (Croatia) and the last champion from Tokyo 2020 – Valarie Allman (USA).

Sandra Perkovic achieved 68.45m in the second attempt and Valarie Allman 68.30m in the third, which determined the color of their honors. The Croatian also has two world titles from Moscow 2013 and London 2017, as well as another silver from Beijing 2015 and bronze from Doha 2019.

For China, this is the second title after Daegu 2011, when Li Yanfeng won. In Eugene, the Chinese also won gold in the men’s long jump and expect more honors in sport walking.

The Doha 2019 world champion Yaime Perez (Cuba) finished seventh in that final with 63.07m.

Champion Feng Bin was eighth at London 2017, fifth at Doha 2019, and won the title in her third final in the event.
