Elena Rybakina qualified for the second round of the US Open tennis tournament

The 4th-seeded Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) qualified for the second round of the US Open tennis tournament after defeating Marta Kostyuk (Ukraine) by 2-0 (6:2, 6:1) in 1:24 hours.

The Kazakhstani tennis player made 26 winners and won 75% of the first serve points, against 22 unforced errors for her opponent, which made the difference in the match.

Thus, in the second round Elena Rybakina will face Ajla Tomljanovic (Australia), who turned over Panna Udvardy (Hungary) by 2-1 (3:6, 6:2, 6:4).

Xinyu Wang (China) also advanced to the second round after defeating Katie Volynets (USA) by 2-0 (6:3, 6:4), as well as her compatriots Lin Zhu, who eliminated Mayar Sherif (Egypt) by 2-0 (6:3, 7:5), and Xiyu Wang, who won versus Viktoria Hruncakova Slovakia) by 2-1 (4:6, 6:3, 7:6).

The qualifier Kaja Juvan (Slovenia) eliminated the 29th-seeded Elisabetta Cocciaretto (Italy) by 2-0 (6:2, 7:5), while Jennifer Brady (USA0 defeated Kimberly Birrell (Australia) by 2-0 (6:3, 7:6).

The Belgian tennis player Elise Mertens qualified for the second round after defeating Mirjam Bjorklund (Sweden) by 2-1 (3:6, 6:3, 7:6).
