The 17th-seeded Caroline Garcia is the first quarter-finalist at the US Open 2022 after defeating Alison Riske-Amritraj by 2-0 (6:4, 6:1) in a match that lasted 84 minutes.

The French tennis player made 11 aces and 30 winners for the success. She started the match aggressively and without any doubt for winning it.

The first set was equal for both players, who won their serve games before the 10th game when Caroline Garcia made a break and won it by 6:4. This changed the whole match and she won 3 more games to take a lead in the second set by 3:0 and despite that Alison Riske-Amritraj won her serve game, the French tennis player won three consecutive games to close the set at 6:1.

Thus, Caroline Garcia is the first quarter-finalist at the US Open 2022 and extended her winning series to 12 consecutive victories.
