Beatriz Haddad Maia won the WTA 500 Korea Open title

Brazilian tennis player Beatriz Haddad Maia won the WTA 500 Korea Open in Seoul (Republic of Korea) with a prize money of 922,572 USD.

The third-seeded Beatriz Haddad Maia prevailed over the top-seeded Daria Kasatkina (Russia) after a fantastic comeback to 2-1 (1:6, 6:4, 6:1). The match lasted 1:52 hours.

Daria Kasatkina made three double faults and converted three break points out of seven opportunities. The Brazilian served two aces and was effective on break opportunities, converting four of five opportunities.

Beatriz Haddad Maia has won four singles and seven doubles titles on the WTA Tour, including Huafa Technology WTA Elite Trophy, and reached a Grand Slam semifinal at the 2023 French Open and the final at the WTA 1000 Canadian Open.
