Angela Hill won her fight versus Ashley Yoder at UFC Women Strawweight final by unanimous decision. The fight was part of the preliminary card at UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad.
Angela Hill realized a significantly higher number of strikes during the first. However, she was twise taken down by her opponent. The fight ended without a submission attempt, but the better in the octagon definitely was the American fighter.
The former Invicta FC strawweight champion Angela Hill was hoping to stop Ashley Yoder in their rematch Saturday, but instead, she left with a unanimous decision.
“I do want the finish. But 30-27, I’m pretty happy with it just because of my history with the judges, the scorecards, and just having close fights. If anything, not getting the finish, consolation is not letting it get close, you know?”, said Angela Hill in the post-fight interview. “That’s the easy way to get a finish – just to be dominant in the fight. I felt like my cardio was a little off today, but we’ve kind of been in this weird we’re-going-to-fight limbo. So yeah, it was nice to finally fight and get it done, and it was like a test to kind of see these new moves I’ve been working on to see how they’re working. Now I can go back and see how I can make them even better”, added she.
Angela Hill has a professional MMA record is 13-9-0 (W-L-D). She is also a former World Kickboxing Association champion.
